Occasionally, as with any software program, there are changes made. For those of you with internet access, we want you to be able to download these changes as soon as they are ready and implement them. This saves you time and money! Below find the latest maintenance release for The Billing Clerk and the latest Help file.

The Billing Clerk Version 5.2 Maintenance Release - THIS IS NOT A DEMO. If you are not a registered user of The Billing Clerk do not download this file, it would be a waste of your time as you will be unable to use it.

If you have a version of The Billing Clerk earlier than Version 5 DO NOT download this maintenance release or you will corrupt your data files and lose all of your customer information.

1. Click here to download
2. A window opens up saying: Unknown File Type
3. Click on Save File
4. Another window opens up saying: Save File
5. You will now need to tell the program where the file should be saved
6. Next to Save In, click on the down arrow and choose the C drive
7. In the white window below, double-click on your Dillo folder
8. Leave the name as BC5_2.exe and click on Save

This file is in PKZip (compressed) format, to speed up the download process. To unzip, do the following:

1. Open Windows Explorer (Start, Programs, Windows Explorer)
2. Double-Click on the Dillo folder in the left window
3. Double-Click on BC5_2.exe in the right window
4. A Self Extracting Screen will appear
5. Under Extract, it will have the C folder and the Dillo folder listed. Do not change these unless you have your program somewhere other than the default directory of Dillo.
6. Under Overwrite, Always is selected, do not change this.
7. Click on Extract and the file will self-extract into your Dillo directory.

The Billing Clerk Version 5 - Help File

If you have a version of Help earlier than Version 5 Help release b (10/11/02), you will want to download the following upgrade to The Billing Clerk Help.

1. Click on the pencil
2. A window opens up saying: Unknown File Type
3. Click on Save File
4. Another window opens up saying: Save File
5. You will now need to tell the program where the file should be saved
6. Next to Save In, click on the down arrow and choose the C drive
7. In the white window below, double-click on your Dillo folder
8. Leave the name as HelpFile.exe and click on Save
